Meet the Team

  • Dr. Patricio F. Molina, Ph.D., D.M.A.

    FOUNDER

    Named "a gifted artist" by the New York Times, Dr. Patricio Molina has gained a reputation as a composer, pianist, and educator. Patricio regularly appears on stages such as Carnegie Hall and OPERA America. Dr. Molina is a Yamaha Artist.

    Inspirations for his compositions include his Chilean-Syrian heritage, mythology, and literature, as well as his experience as an immigrant. Patricio is committed to serving marginalized communities by creating new works in collaboration with other artists from underrepresented groups, performing underrated works, and working toward decolonizing academic research. His accomplishments in the field of arts education have been recognized by the New Jersey Education Association with their prestigious Award for Excellence.

    Patricio has presented his research and expertise for events and intuitions such as the College Music Society National Conference, The National Association for Music Education, The New Jersey Music Educators Association, and the Penn State International New-Music Festival and Symposium.

    Patricio holds a Master's Degree with distinction from the Manhattan School of Music, a D.M.A. in Piano Performance, and a Ph.D. in Music Composition from Rutgers University. Learn more about Patricio at www.patriciofmolina.com.

  • Mario J. Paredes

    SECRETARY

    Mr. Paredes, a native of Chile, has over 30 years of experience as an executive in healthcare administration and has extensive experience as a leader in business development. He has headed the operations at SOMOS since 2015, when the first network of primary care providers in the City of New York, with over 2,500 members and 800 practices of private physicians, was established.

    Before joining SOMOS, Mr. Paredes served at Merrill Lynch as Vice President of Business Development in April 2001. He served as a consultant for Latin America under President Ronald Reagan, overseeing elections and political transition to democracy in Suriname, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Haiti. He participated in the peace processes in El Salvador. Under Mayor Edward Koch, he served as Commissioner for the Charter Revision of New York City.

    Mr. Paredes has collaborated with Caritas Dominicana in the health field and created a co- management to administer the children’s hospital Robert Reid Cabral known as La Angelita. For years, he has supported this entity in collaboration with Saint Claire Hospital of the New York Archdiocese and developed plans to build a new children’s hospital with Mr. Oscar de la Renta and Cardinal John O’Connor.

    Mr. Paredes earned his Master of Philosophy at the Catholic University of Argentina, his Masters in Religious Education at Loyola University Chicago, and his postgraduate studies at Georgetown University.

  • Mallory Molina

    TREASURER

    Mallory Molina is a Lyric Soprano and licensed Music Educator based in New Jersey. A Connecticut native, she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a double major in Music Education and Voice from the University of Connecticut. She has appeared in venues such as OPERA America, Carnegie Hall, and the Lincoln Center Library.

    Mallory has enjoyed several years of teaching Vocal and General Music in Connecticut and New Jersey public schools in many different classroom environments and age groups. Notably, in 2018 her choir won a statewide competition and appeared for a live performance on a national television network. Her driving philosophy as a teacher is that singing is for everyone.

    Mallory is an active member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. She is dedicated to causes that promote access to music education, and artistic programming that helps to redefine classical music in the modern age.
