Dr. Patricio Molina, in partnership with Universidad Católica Nordestana of the Dominican Republic, has begun a project focusing on Caribbean art music, particularly music of the Dominican Republic. This project aims to delve into the rich cultural and historical nuances of Dominican music, culminating in the publication of a volume of piano works and a series of performances.
Dr. Molina plans to conduct extensive research to compile a volume of piano works suitable for beginner to intermediate and advanced students. This pedagogical resource will integrate traditional Dominican music and composers, enriching piano education while celebrating Caribbean cultural heritage.
Through publications, lecture-recitals, and performances in the United States and DR, Dr. Molina aims to elevate Dominican classical music.
